This week the Philosophy Department welcomes two guest speakers who will give talks on topics related to space exploration.
On Wednesday, November 13, at 3:30 pm in 218 McKinley Hall, Dr. Kelly Smith will give a talk entitled "One Religion Please, Hold the God: Complexity, Natural "Religion" and the Prospect of a Universal Ethic." Dr. Smith is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religion at Clemson University and is the founder of the Society for Social and Conceptual Issues in Astrobiology.
On Thursday, November 14, at 3:30 pm in 218 McKinley Hall, Dr. Sheri Wells-Jensen will give a talk entitled "Cripping the Trip to Space: How Disabled Astronauts Will Save Space Colonization." Dr. Wells-Jensen is Associate Professor of Linguistics at Bowling Green State University.
Each lecture is free and open to the public.
