WSU Alum to Speak at 2020 Galaxy Forum

"The theme of the 2020 Galaxy Forum is "Artemis and Beyond." It will be Saturday, Oct. 24, from 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson. The Ad Astra Kansas Foundation is the sponsor.

Michael Staab, 2013 成人头条 aerospace engineering graduate, currently serving as Fault Management Systems Principal Engineer for the Lunar Lander and Lunar Gateway at Northrup Grumman, will speak virtually about the Artemis Program. Complimenting him will be Martin Ratcliffe, WSU Cohen Honors professor of astronomy, speaking on the Moon; also, the next rock on our exploring bucket list鈥擬ars鈥攚ill be the topic for K-State grad student Sarah Lamm. Steve Durst will speak on a new educational initiative in Kansas. And invited is physicist Dr. Gerald Jackson-- who would speak on a NASA-funded robotic mission to Alpha Centauri and Proxima b.

This will be a hybrid event with in-person and virtual presentations.  Attendance can be in-person or virtual.  Registration is needed for in-person attendance as seating is limited due to requirements of social distancing and mask-wearing.  The Galaxy Forum may also viewed LIVE on the Ad Astra Kansas Facebook page."
