The organizers of the symposium "Celebrating the Scientific Legacy of NASA and Apollo" have announced the program for the symposium.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 19th, in the Santa Fe Room of the Rhatigan Student Center. No advance registration is required; and the event is free and open to the public. Registration begins at 9 am with talks starting at 9:15 am.
Highlights include a keynote lecture from Dr. Roger D. Launius (NASA Chief Historian from 1990 to 2002), talks about NASA science from regional and national experts, and papers read by the winners of a college essay competition. The symposium will also feature a tour of the "Lowel Nesbitt: Apollo, 1969" exhibit and the finalist competitions for statewide middle and high school poster competitions.
