1. What excites you most about joining the PPMC?
Teamwork makes the dream work. The PPMC team is driven to meet the needs of every community and organization we serve. Whether it is research, professional development, or enabling communities to make their services known, the PPMC has every angle covered when it comes to public service. I鈥檓 excited to guide clients through the strategic planning process.
2. Who in public service inspires you?
My father is my biggest inspiration when it comes to public service. He is a graduate of the MPA program and worked in city administration for 40+ years. His commitment to helping communities grow and his dedication to enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion is something I value greatly.
3. Why is public service important to you?
When we make the lives around us better, our community becomes stronger and more connected
to one another. Working together is necessary for the growth and advancement of the
public good. I believe Joseph Campbell said it best: 鈥淲hen we quit thinking primarily
about ourselves and our own self-preservation, we undergo a truly heroic transformation
of consciousness.鈥�
