Divisional Nomination Process
The Student Affairs Student Employee Awards were created to help us celebrate student employees who warrent recognition for their outstanding performance at work and their development and contribution to the division as employees of the university.
Awards Eligibility
- Must be actively enrolled in a degree-seeking program at 成人头条
- Must be in good academic standing (GPA of 2.80 or better)
- Must be actively employed in the Division on Student Affairs during the current academic
year (August 1 鈥 July 31)

List of 2024 Awards & Criteria
Each award highlights important and diverse aspects of a student's employment. You may nominate one (1) DSA student employee per award. This is a list of each award that is available for nomination. All awards will be reviewed based on the criteria for each.
- Open to a student employee or Graduate Assistant that has made outstanding contributions for a department within the Division of Student Affairs.
- Must have been a student employee within the Division of Student Affairs for a minimum of one (1) calendar year.
- Nominate a student employee who has shown excellence in leadership and teamwork. This may or may not require them to supervise staff either formally or informally.
- Acts as a role model to other students, builds honest open relationships, uses respectful communication and demonstrates accountability and honesty.
- Student Employees who bring new and innovative ideas to their workspace, with particular emphasis on interdepartmental or campus collaboration.
- Thinks of ways to solve problems creatively.
- Students who excel in customer service for the university community. This may be developing relationships, creating positive interactions, or going above and beyond to provide excellent customer service.
- Helps build morale, encourages others, stays productive and positive in the face of challenges.
- Open to a student employee or Graduate Assistant that has stood out among a department within the Division of Student Affairs.
- Must be a new employee within the Division of Student Affairs for the academic year.
Selection Committee
The DSA Awards & Recognition Selection Committee will be comprised of several individuals from different positions across the DSA. All committee members are ineligible to be nominated for an award. Committee members will use a standard rubric to review and score nominations based off of

DSA Student Employee Supervisor of the Year
In addition to the five DSA Student Employee awards, we will also be selecting one DSA Student Employee Supervisor of the Year to recognize for their service.
To qualify, the individual must be:
- Full-time benefit-eligible staff member of 成人头条 within the Divison of Student Affairs (as listed on the DSA deparment list)
- Directly supervise one (1) or more student employees (grad or undergrad) within the Division of Student Affairs
- Individual must have one calendar year of supervision within the division
DSA Student Employee Supervisor of the Year must be nominated by a student employee, and may not be nominated by a professional staff member.
