Nidhi鈥檚 journey as an international student pursuing her Master's of Science in Economics and Quantitative Analysis at 成人头条 reflects ambition, resilience, and a strong desire for growth. Expected to graduate in May 2026, she arrived in the U.S. in July 2024 after earning her bachelor鈥檚 degree in Journalism and Economics in India. The move marked a significant turning point as she sought to gain a global perspective on economics, blending her undergraduate expertise with new learnings to create a unique career niche.
During her first semester, Nidhi demonstrated a remarkable ability to seize opportunities and multitask. She worked as a Graduate Student Assistant in the Department of Economics under three professors, further strengthening her academic foundation. Simultaneously, she volunteered with The Sunflower newspaper as an audio reporter, honing her storytelling skills through podcasting. Her work, featured on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, showcased her creativity and ability to produce high-quality content under tight deadlines.
Currently, she is juggling multiple roles that build on her expertise. She volunteers as a market researcher with the Kansas Small Business Development Center, where she focuses on market research and podcast video editing. Despite restrictions limiting international students to one paid position, Nidhi鈥檚 choice to volunteer reflects her commitment to gaining meaningful experience. She also serves as a content and media coordinator in the economics department, further solidifying her creative and analytical skillset. Starting January 2025, she will take on the role of Digital Systems Engineering Graduate Student Assistant at the National Institute for Aviation Research, exploring advanced research and technology applications.
