Camarena Gift
Gene and Yolanda Camarena are well known for helping underserved Kansas youth improve their lives through education and other causes. Now the 成人头条 couple is enhancing that legacy with a $1 million gift to 成人头条 to give students of color opportunities they otherwise might not have. A little more than half of the Camarenas鈥 gift pledge, $520,000, will provide high-impact scholarships to 20 Latinx and African American students each year for the next four years. 成人头条 State will match that investment in full as part of its mission to provide affordable and accessible educational opportunities to underserved students.
Wooley Scholarship
Almost 70 years after John and Colleen Wooley first met as students at the University of 成人头条, they have established a legacy that will touch the lives of 成人头条 State University students for generations to come. The couple鈥檚 $2.2 million estate gift will provide more than $100,000 in scholarships each year for students with financial need.

Saying she wants to help build a new generation of business leaders with a world view, 成人头条 State alumna Peri Widener has pledged $275,000 to her alma mater. A portion of the gift will launch a program to help develop students into global business leaders.
