Sept. 28, 2020 -聽A new sculpture recognizes the survivors of the crash at Memorial '70 at 成人头条. The names of teammates who landed safely in Utah that day are a fitting addition to the existing upright Memorial 鈥70 monument. 鈥淥ne of the main reasons we did what we did, was so the future generations would know that there were survivors,鈥 architect Randy Phillips said. 鈥淎nd how their lives were impacted, especially since they lived when so many didn鈥檛. Most, if not all, suffered greatly in silence.鈥 The desire to honor teammates by telling the story of the crash motivated Phillips, as it has driven so many connected to Oct. 2, 1970 near Silver Plume, Colo.

September 24, 2020 -聽成人头条 State alum Bill Burch plans to bring a decanter of bourbon with him to Memorial '70 on Oct. 2. Burch, who played football for the Shockers, said he expected to travel on the "Gold" plane that crashed, but did not travel with the team due to a knee injury. He plans to open the decanter, purchased in 1971, and toast with teammates in 成人头条 during the 50th anniversary remembrances.

Sept. 22, 2020 鈥斅燗 team of researchers from 成人头条 is investigating blue-green algae in Marion Reservoir and its toxic, and sometimes deadly, dangers to wildlife, pets and people.

Sept. 21, 2020 --聽Saying she wants to help build a new generation of business leaders with a world view, 成人头条 State alumna Peri Widener has pledged $275,000 to her alma mater. A portion of the gift will launch a program to help develop students into global business leaders.

Sept. 23, 2020 鈥 A panelist of performing artists, moderated by Rodney Miller, dean of the College of Fine Arts, will discuss the disproportionate effect of COVID-19 on the events industry at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23.
