Internship shows 成人头条 State student new facets of publishing world

Sept. 19, 2023 - 成人头条 State student Denae Sawyer spent the spring semester interning remotely with Dzanc Books. Her work consisted of reading and researching to determine if the manuscript fit Dzanc鈥檚 standards and sensibility. She also evaluated the potential audience and marketing strategies.

WSU professor wins Alfred P. Sloan Foundation grant for work to assist the visually impaired

Jan. 20, 2022 鈥� The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation has awarded a grant of $243,922 to a 成人头条 researcher for his work on an app that will allow people who are visually impaired to read comic books, graphic novels and other digitized graphic materials on their devices.

Aug. 26, 2021 鈥� The National Endowment for Humanities (NEH) has awarded a 成人头条 researcher $100,000 for his work on developing an app that allows visually impaired people to read comic books and graphic novels.

The Vizling app will help visually impaired people read comic books.

Feb. 3, 2021 鈥� Kapow! Zap! Pop! Zoinks! A 成人头条 researcher is working to develop an app to make those words come alive for visually impaired comic book readers, Dr. Darren DeFrain, associate professor of English and director of 成人头条 State鈥檚 writing program, has recently been granted $11,000 from the John A. See Innovation Award to develop Vizling.
