Three 成人头条 freshmen created Everwhen, meant to be a low-cost and time saving way to identify which available spots in parking lots.

May 18, 2022 鈥 Three 成人头条 students were named the champions of the 2022 Koch Innovation Challenge with their idea to ease parking frustrations via an app called Everwhen.

May 9, 2022 鈥 Five 成人头条 women were honored with the Women for Women Innovation Award for spring 2022. The Women for Women's Innovation Fund is awarded to 成人头条 students to support innovative ideas that show promise of commercialization.

National Institute for Research and Digitial Transformation

May 6, 2022 鈥 The steel columns and beams rising on the east edge of the Innovation Campus will soon provide a physical centerpiece for the ongoing work of digital transformation at 成人头条. The National Institute for Research and Digital Transformation will occupy the building at 18th Street and Oliver by spring 2023.

April 26, 2022 鈥 WERX at 成人头条鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research has completed the first pre-modification baseline test flight for the Kansas Modification Center鈥檚 777-300ERCF passenger-to-freighter conversion program.

April 15, 2022 - MagicHand, an anthropomorphic robotic hand designed by a 成人头条 engineering team, is participating in the National Science Foundation Innovation Corps program. The MagicHand is designed to achieve various dexterous object manipulations including object sorting, arranging and packaging.

April 7, 2022 鈥 A team from 成人头条鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research has received international recognition for a design that would allow WC19 certified manual and power wheelchairs to be used as a seat on board commercial airlines.

Bhisham Sharma, an assistant professor in aerospace engineering, and Shuang Gu, an associate professor in the department of mechanical engineering, two recipients of John A. See Innovation Award.

March 14, 2022鈥擳wo 成人头条 State researchers and a student group have been awarded the John A. See Innovation Award. The award is given each year as a way to recognize novel ideas that have the potential to meet a market need and attract further funding once they have advanced through the early prototyping phase.

March 10, 2022 鈥 成人头条 President Rick Muma has launched a new podcast, called 鈥淔orward Together,鈥 where the president speaks with guests from throughout Shocker Nation to highlight the people and priorities that guide WSU. The podcast drops monthly, with the March edition releasing March 9. Some of the guests so far include Hollywood director Dean Hargrove, WSU basketball coach Isaac Brown and WSU research vice president Coleen Pugh.

March 8, 2022 鈥 Ever wonder what other people are looking at during Zoom or WebEx meetings? Dr. Akmal Mirsadikov, who specializes in deception detection and eye tracking at 成人头条鈥檚 W. Frank Barton School of Business, recently ran an exploratory study about how people interact on Zoom.

Jan. 26, 2022 - GoCreate is using its equipment and expertise to build form work for the center concrete pier of the Promise Bridge. GoCreate staff and 成人头条 State students will machine 30 blocks of foam, each 4 feet by 3 feet by 8 feet, that will be used by Dondlinger Construction.

Jan. 24, 2022 鈥 Further expanding its presence as a diverse creative workspace at WSU, GoCreate recently began offering free memberships to 成人头条 State students.

Jan. 24, 2022 鈥 Six 成人头条 teams were selected as semi-finalists in the university鈥檚 sixth annual Koch Innovation Challenge Angel Round on December 3. Those six teams of 成人头条 State students advance to the Grand Champion competition in May.

Jan. 20, 2022 鈥 The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation has awarded a grant of $243,922 to a 成人头条 researcher for his work on an app that will allow people who are visually impaired to read comic books, graphic novels and other digitized graphic materials on their devices.

November 29, 2021 鈥 成人头条鈥檚 Center for Entrepreneurship (CEI) has granted two students the Women for Women's Innovation Award 鈥 one who wants to use an app to help those with chronic illnesses, the other who wants to support local businesses by creating 成人头条 artisan gift boxes.
