June 8, 2021 - Karla Burns鈥 legacy of music and drama is one of 成人头条鈥檚 most prominent contributions to the performing arts. Burns, 66, died June 4 in 成人头条. She attended Dunbar Elementary School and graduated from West High School. At 成人头条 State, she earned bachelor鈥檚 degrees in music education and in speech/theater, both in 1981.

Walking nearby will be Micah White, his son, who will receive the degree he completed last fall in the ceremony delayed by COVID-19 restrictions. They will be the first on their side of the family to earn a college degree. Ken White, founder and chief financial officer of Howerton+White marketing agency, earned his Bachelor of Applied Arts in media arts, majoring in audio production. Micah White earned his degree from the School of Music in jazz performance with a guitar emphasis.

Jan. 4, 2021 鈥 The 3D printing revolution is nothing short of remarkable, but it also produces a considerable amount of waste. In fact, it鈥檚 estimated that up to 19% of 3D printing is waste. A team of interdisciplinary researchers at 成人头条 is working to create sustainable 3D printing practices to reduce that waste.

Several of the public art projects are visible outside the stadium and more are scheduled for installation in the coming months. All of the artists are local or regional.

Sept. 23, 2020 - Darren Defrain is the social professor of English and director of the writing program at 成人头条 State. Defrain has written novels, memoirs and essays, created a graphic novel, teaches on graphic novels/storytelling and is actively working on a graphic novel app.

Sept. 21, 2020 鈥 A panelist of performing artists, moderated by Rodney Miller, dean of the College of Fine Arts, will discuss the disproportionate effect of COVID-19 on the events industry at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23.

Sept. 18, 2020 - In July, Emily Christensen spent five days on Zoom participating in the National Critics Institute, a program of the Eugene O鈥橬eill Theater Center in Waterford, Conn. Christensen, coordinator of external affairs for 成人头条鈥檚 School of Art, Design and Creative Industries, wrote about food, plays, movies and dance. She, and 16 others in her group, listened to and received critiques from people such as such as Chicago Tribune theater critic Chris Jones, who directs the program, and Helen Shaw of New York Magazine.

Shocker Studios

May 27, 2020 - 成人头条 State's Shocker Studio is alway updating its technology for students in the School of Digital Arts and the Bachelor of Applied Arts in Media Arts. An industry advisory board, with voices from around the nation, helps Shocker Studios plan for what鈥檚 next and what鈥檚 important. The technology upgrades include the two recording studios 鈥 one digital, one analog - that are undergoing remodels that include new acoustics, new sound boards and new components.
