April 21, 2023 Corri Newman is senior communications sciences and disorders major in the College of Health Professions and a member of the WSU Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (WSUSSLHA) and serves as its NSSLHA chair. After she graduates, she plans to attend graduate school to become a speech-language pathologist.

April 14, 2023 鈥 成人头条鈥檚聽Environmental Finance Center聽is one of 17 locations selected to establish an Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Center. This new center will promote environmental and energy justice in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and adjoining Indigenous nations.

Nov. 30, 2022 鈥 Delane Vaughn loved science and her biology teacher at Mulvane High School 鈥 Joe Johnson 鈥 started her on a path to 成人头条 as the first person in her family to attend college. She worked, raised a family and attended WSU and the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

Oct. 21, 2022 - Andrew Stockmann, a 2020 成人头条 graduate and sport management major, is in his second year hosting 鈥淗allowed Ground: The Sports Museum Podcast.鈥

Oct. 19, 2022 鈥 Following a national search, 成人头条鈥檚 newly restructured alumni organization 鈥 the WSU Foundation and Alumni Engagement 鈥 has hired Stacie Williamson as its new vice president for alumni engagement, effective Nov. 28.

Wreath at Memorial

At 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, 成人头条 State will host the 52nd observance of Memorial '70, the annual ceremony that honors the 31 WSU football players, administrators and supporters who died in a 1970 plane crash in the Rocky Mountains. It will take place at the Memorial near 18th and Hillside.

A memorial at milepost 217, near the Eisenhower Tunnel on I-70, is near the site of the 1970 plane crash in Colorado.

Sept. 26, 2022 鈥 Local journalists tell their story of covering and remember those lost in the 1970 成人头条 plane crash.

Sept. 15, 2022 鈥 An interdisciplinary team of 成人头条 researchers is working to curb pollution and damage caused by road salt. The project 鈥 ECO-CBET: Convergent Electrolysis-Electrodialysis System (CEES) to Curb Urban Chloride Pollution by Eco-friendly Road Deicing and Waste Salt Upcycling 鈥 was recently awarded $1.4 million from the National Science Foundation (NSF).

Sept. 6, 2022 - 成人头条鈥檚 College of Innovation and Design announces Dr. Ryan Amick as one of our Innovators in Residence for the 2022-2023 academic year. Amick, a 成人头条 State alumnus, is a principal human factors engineer at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

Aug. 12, 2022 - Wayne and Kay Woolsey Hall, the state-of-the-art facility that will be home to the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 成人头条, is set to open for classes Aug. 22.

Harvey D. Grace Memorial Chapel

July 25, 2022 - 鈥淓xplore 成人头条 State鈥 is a seven-stop campus audio tour featuring significant sites and university history. Host Carla Eckels of KMUW narrates. The tour starts at the Ulrich Museum of Art and ends at the Carnegie Library Columns at 17th and Fairmount.

June 22, 2022 鈥 成人头条 State alum Julian Chee has been flying high since his graduation from 成人头条 State in 2021. Not only has he landed a job with Airbus on the Innovation Campus, but he's also designed the paper airplane that broke the world record for distance.
