Sept. 8, 2020 鈥斅�The U.S. Department of Education has awarded two of 成人头条鈥檚 TRIO programs 鈥� Student Support Services (SSS) and Disability Support Services (DSS) 鈥� grants totaling more than $3.9 million to help limited-income, first-generation students and students with disabilities.

September 4, 2020 - 成人头条鈥檚 Instructional Design and Access team, part of the Media Resource Center, worked with faculty over the summer to continue to improve hybrid learning. IDA took its one-day Academic Resources Conference and turned it into a week of training, via Zoom, in June and again in August before classes started. Another week is scheduled in January to prepare spring classes.

Sept. 3, 2020 鈥� Emily Schlenker was born to study STEM. However, because she was born blind, her passion for organic chemistry and biology almost went by the wayside. That's when the folks at 成人头条 State's Media Resource Center stepped in to help Emily achieve her dreams.

Aug. 28, 2020 鈥� Dr. Kevin Harrison, a community engagement coordinator for 成人头条 State, launched the Breathe project, which he says 鈥渋s an attempt to use art as means of addressing social injustice and racial stereotypes.鈥�

Aug. 27, 2020 - 成人头条 graduate Sarahi Aguilera considered herself shy for most of her life. Her status as an undocumented immigrant limited what she thought herself capable of saying or doing. That perception changed in 2017 when she traveled to Washington, D.C. as part of delegation of college students who talked to politicians about their stories and DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). Aguilera started volunteering with Sunflower Community Action in 2018 while a student at Seward County Community College. Later that year, she transferred to 成人头条 State and took a job as an immigrant justice organizer at Sunflower Community Action. In May, she graduated with a major in criminal justice and a psychology minor. She wants to attend law school and work in immigration law.

August 27, 2020 - Rani Somers, coordinator for fraternity and sorority life at 成人头条, was named The Guan铆n* Leadership Award Winner on behalf of the Lambda Pi Upsilon Sorority, Latinas Poderosas Unidas, Inc. Somers earned the honor for her work guiding Lambda Pi Upsilon to chapter recognition in July. This is the first time in its history that this award has been presented to someone outside of the sorority.
