Oct. 20, 2022 鈥 The FirePoint Innovations Center at 成人头条 wrapped up the second year of its Future Innovators Program, an engineering internship opportunity that provides some of America鈥檚 brightest engineers from historically under-represented communities the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and programs that directly support the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Center and the Department of Defense.

Oct. 14, 2022 - Savannah Paschal, a senior Spanish education major at 成人头条 State, wrote a proposal that helped Alce su voz earn a $75,000 Building Power and Equity Partnership grant from the Kansas Health Foundation. The grant will support civic engagement and the group鈥檚 work toward health equity for Spanish speakers and speakers of indigenous languages in Kansas.

Oct. 3, 2022 鈥 A research team led by researchers with 成人头条 State鈥檚 College of Engineering and Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences recently received funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for their proposal, "The Development of a Smart Telehealth ECG and Human Activity Monitoring System to Improve Cardiovascular health of Older Adults."

At 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, 成人头条 State will host the 52nd observance of Memorial '70, the annual ceremony that honors the 31 WSU football players, administrators and supporters who died in a 1970 plane crash in the Rocky Mountains. It will take place at the Memorial near 18th and Hillside.

A memorial at milepost 217, near the Eisenhower Tunnel on I-70, is near the site of the 1970 plane crash in Colorado.
