Shocktoberfest parade

Aug. 29, 2024 - 成人头条 is welcoming vendors for its fall Shocktoberfest celebration. The deadline for merchants and vendors to join in the Shocktoberfest Family Weekend events is Aug. 31.Shocktoberfest is a public event Sept. 30-Oct. 5 open to the entire campus and 成人头条-area community. It is WSU's biggest annual celebration of Shocker pride.

Casey Ratzlaff

Aug. 26, 2024 - Casey Ratzlaff, a sport management major at 成人头条 State, will play in the men鈥檚 open division in the Paris Paralympics Games starting in late August. He is the top-ranked American and seeded No. 13 in the 64-man field.

Aug. 15, 2024 - As the fall semester begins, you will notice ongoing and new construction across 成人头条 State鈥檚 330-acres and beyond. Shocker Success Center is open and work is underway at the 成人头条 Biomedical Campus.

Paula Garcia

The difficulties of the past year are behind former 成人头条 sprinter Paula Garcia. She can enjoy her spot on Spain鈥檚 2024 Olympic team. Garcia, who ran for the Shockers from 2017-2022, is a member of the 400-meter relay team.

June 5, 2024 - 成人头条 is building on success with Shocker Pre-Season programs by offering adult learners a chance to start the school year confident and connected.

Marissa Jensen

May 23, 2024 - 成人头条 State's Marissa Jensen is halfway through her master鈥檚 degree in exercise science. She is a two-time American Athletic Conference All-Academic selection with a 4.0 grade-point average. This week, she is competing in the NCAA West Preliminaries in Fayetteville, Ark., for a second straight season.

Addison Barnard

May 10, 2024 - Senior Addison Barnard's list of academic honors almost matches her softball awards. She is one of college softball's top home run hitters and an Academic All-American as a health science major at WSU.

Feb. 15, 2024 - From the center of campus to downtown 成人头条, 成人头条鈥檚 footprint continues to grow and offer new opportunities for students and our community. As the spring semester rolls on, you will notice ongoing and new construction across our 330-acres and beyond.

Nov. 13, 2023 - Anna Heacock works as an emergency room nurse and runs for the 成人头条 track and field team. 成人头条 State is home to nearly 5,000 first-generation students, individuals whose caregivers weren't able to complete a college degree and who lack the firsthand experience to tackle college life.

Cessna Stadium plaque

Oct. 5, 2023 - As part of the Memorial 鈥70 ceremony, football players, friends and families from those years received a piece of Cessna Stadium seating. Former WSU Foundation Vice President Mike Lamb proposed the idea to preserve some of the stadium and share it with the Memorial 鈥70 group.

Sept. 21, 2023 鈥 John and Gail Wadsworth have given a lead gift of $1.5 million to 成人头条 and Shocker Athletics, earmarked for the Softball Team Operations Facility at Wilkins Stadium. The building is a part of the $9.65 million Phase 1 of the stadium renovation plan, which will begin development in the spring of 2024.

Two Hands Corn Dogs at Braeburn Square

Sept. 18, 2023 鈥 The community will soon have a new restaurant to choose from when Two Hands Corn Dogs opens on 成人头条鈥檚 campus Friday, Sept. 22.

Students in parade

Sept. 11, 2023 鈥 成人头条 is holding a parade next month and is inviting anyone in the community to join in. Starting at 6 p.m. Oct. 6 on the WSU campus, the parade is part of the university鈥檚 annual Shocktoberfest celebration.

Students working on handrails for Koch Arena

Sept. 5, 2023 - 成人头条 students designed handrails for Charles Koch Arena and producing around 400 for installation. The applied learning project will make walking up the arena stairs safer for fans and is a response to surveys and listening sessions.
