Minutes of the 成人头条 Faculty Senate Election Meeting
Monday May 12, 2014,
CH 107, 3:30pm (immediately following the final meeting of the 2013-14 Senate)
Members Present: Adler, Ahmed, Barut, Bergman, Brooks, Bryant, Castro, Celestin, Chang, Decker, Horn, Houseman, Huckstadt, Hull, Hunsicker, Johnson, Klunder, Moore-Jansen, Mosack, Ramanan, Rillema, Rokosz, Shaw, Walker, Yao, Yildirim, Yu
Members Absent: Hanawalt, Mason, Perry, Shuai, Taher, Thiessen, Trechak, Yeager
Members Excused: Baker, Dehner, Ross, Woods
I. Call to order: President-elect Mehmet Barut called the meeting to order at 4:15 pm.
II. Informal Statements and Proposals:
President-Elect Barut thanked President Mosack for the wonderful job she has done
in representing the faculty of WSU. He also introduced the new senators for the 2014
- 15 year.
III. Election of Officers for 2014-15.
The following have been nominated in the process stipulated in the Faculty Senate
Election Rules. No nominations were made from the floor.
鈥 President-Elect: Peer Moore-Jansen
鈥 Vice President: Bayram Yildirim
鈥 Secretary: Carolyn Shaw
鈥 Members of the Executive Committee: Denise Celestin, Robert Ross
Senator Brooks moved (second by Senator Hull) that the nominations be closed and the
all be elected unanimously. President-Elect Barut informed the Senate that his appointee
to the Executive Committee will be Senator Klunder.
IV. Nomination and Election of members of the Planning and Budget Committee
Vacancies exist on the Planning and Budget Committee in the following areas: Fine
Arts, Education, Health Professions, LAS Social Sciences, and the University Libraries.
(these must be senators representing the following Senate constituencies)
鈥 Fine Arts: Amy Baker and Kirsten Johnson nominated. Amy Baker elected by majority
vote (written ballot).
鈥 Education: Daniel Bergman
鈥 Health Professions: Ray Hull
鈥 LAS Social Sciences: Peer Moore-Jansen
鈥 University Libraries: Mary Walker

VI. Adjournment 鈥 President-Elect Mehmet Barut adjourned the meeting at 4:30 pm
