  • Compete successfully for extramural funding from government agencies, foundations, and industry.

  • Foster collaborations with healthcare organizations, industry partners, extramural universities and colleges to address emerging challenges in rehabilitative medicine.
  • Create a dedicated research unit within the Institute to develop innovative technologies and solutions to improve rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Establish a technology transfer program involving partnerships with foundations and industry to facilitate the integration of research findings into practical applications and commercial products.

 

Clinical Care:

    • Provide state-of-the-art rehabilitative services to individuals with physical and cognitive communication disabilities, emphasizing evidence-based clinical practices.
    • Collaborate with local healthcare providers, consumers, and extramural institutions to enhance community outreach and increase access to rehabilitative services in underserved areas of the state.

Community Engagement:

  • Launch community awareness programs emphasizing the importance of rehabilitative medicine and the available resources at the Institute.
  • Organize workshops and outreach events to connect with individuals and families affected by physical and cognitive disabilities.

Education and Training:

  • Develop cutting-edge academic programs, workshops, training modules, and continuing education for healthcare professionals, students, and other interested parties.
  • Provide clinical training opportunities in specialty areas.
  • Establish partnerships with other academic institutions to create a network for knowledge exchange and collaborative learning.
