In order to help employees make the best possible transition to life at our university, all new employees at 成人头条 receive a New Employee Requirements Checklist.

This list correlates with information contained in New Employee Orientation (NEO).  NEO Online Module 1: New Employee Orientation & Requirements Checklist is dedicated to help employees complete this list.

1. myWSU

Within your 1st day of employment, complete the following items:

  1. Set up your myWSU account by logging into
    • Click on 鈥Manage your password鈥                                                                                                               For more information click on 'Password Management Resources'                                           Scroll down to instructions 'Microsoft 365 Password Account Setup'

2. Employee Dashboard | Self-Service

Within your 1st day of employment, complete the following items:

  1. Login to
    1. Staff /Temps should select the 鈥Faculty/Staff鈥 tab
    2. Students/Grads should select the 鈥myFinances鈥 tab
  2. Go to 鈥Employee Self-Service鈥 channel box
  3. Select the 鈥楨mployee Dashboard鈥 link
  4. Set-up/verify your Direct Deposit Information
    1. *Direct Deposit is required of all WSU employees. A bank account and routing number must be provided by employees in the self-service portal to avoid a delay in pay.  Without provided bank information, employees will be paid via pay card.
  5. Set-up/verify your W-4 鈥 Federal Employee鈥檚 Withholding Certificate
    1.  *W-4 defaults to a 鈥楽ingle or Married filing separately鈥 if no changes are made
  6. Set-up/verify your K-4 鈥 Kansas Tax Withholding Allowance Certificate
    1. *K-4 defaults to a 鈥楽ingle鈥 marital status with 0 allowances if no changes are made
  7. Verify/Enter/Update the following information in 鈥My Profile鈥:
    1. Address
    2. Email
    3. Phone
    4. Emergency Contact
    5. Ethnicity
    6. Race
    7. Veteran Status
    8. Disability Status

3. Register Your Vehicle

*Registering your vehicle through the ePermits system is required for those who wish to park on main campus.

Within your 1st day of employment, complete the following items:

  1. Login to
    1. Staff /Temps should select the 鈥Faculty/Staff鈥 tab
    2. Students/Grads should use the student parking permit process
  2. Click on the Parking Icon located in the upper right corner
    1. Click 鈥楢dd New Vehicle鈥 to Register your Vehicles

4. Parking Payroll Deduction

NOTE: Parking Payroll Deduction is not available for Student/Grads.

Within your 1st day of employment, complete the following items:

  1. Login to
    1. Go to the 鈥Employee Self-Service鈥 channel box
  2. Select 鈥Faculty/Staff Parking Payroll Deduction
    1. Scroll down to select an option or opt-out
    2. Enter your information
    3. Submit your form

5. Employee Required Training

Within your first 3 days of employment, complete the following items:

  1. Login to
    1. Staff /Temps should select the 鈥Faculty/Staff鈥 tab
    2. Students/Grads should select the 鈥myFinances鈥 tab
  2. Scroll down to the 鈥Employee Required Training鈥 box
  3. Complete the following trainings
    1. Preventing Harassment and Discrimination Training
    2. FERPA online training
    3. IT Security Awareness (ITSA) training
    4. Annual Conflict of Interest Form (not required for Students or Grads)

6. myTraining

Within your first 3 days of employment, complete the following items:

  1. Login to
    1. Staff /Temps should select the 鈥Faculty/Staff鈥 tab
    2. Students/Grads should select the 鈥myFinances鈥 tab
  2. Scroll down to the 鈥Employee Training, Resources & Professional Development鈥 channel box
  3. Click on the 鈥myTraining鈥 link
    1. Scroll down to 鈥Required New Employee Training
    2. Launch and complete the following trainings
      1. Drug Free Workplace
      2. Campus Security Authority 2020 (not required for Student/Grads)

7. Timekeeping

*Timekeeping training is available.  Go to the Timekeeping webpage: Resources for Leave Reports & Web Time Entry webpage for more information.

Around your 2nd week of employment, complete the following item:

  1. Login to
    1. Staff /Temps should select the 鈥Faculty/Staff鈥 tab
    2. Students/Grads should select the 鈥myFinances鈥 tab
  2. Go to the 鈥Employee Self-Service鈥 channel box
    1. Select the 鈥Employee Dashboard鈥 link
      1. Submit your time

8. Title IX & Civil Rights Training

Within your first 30 days of employment, complete the following item:

  1. Login to
    1. Staff /Temps should select the 鈥Home鈥 tab
    2. SStudents/Grads are not required to complete this training
  2. Scroll down to the 鈥Employee Required Training鈥 box
  3. Complete the Employee Title IX Trainings

9. Duo Security

Within your first 30 days of employment, complete the following item:

  1. Open your Duo Security Instructions Email
    1. *You will receive this email around your first month of employment, once IT has completed your registration with DUO. You will not be able to complete this step until you receive this email.
    2. Set-up your Duo Security two-factor authentication by clicking on the link in the email and follow the prompt
