Internal and external project concept training is available. Start with understanding the high level picture and benefits of project management by viewing the overviews. Then attend CMD training, "in person" PM training on campus which is very good and economical. See links above.

ITS Projects have a team of named resources fulfilling different roles. Each role builds expertise and is needed at the next level.

    • Provide the high level deliverables and how they tie to WSU鈥檚 goals, success criteria, funding, and final sign off.

    • Anyone within the process directly or indirectly impacted by the project.

    • Valued contributers to ITS' projects,  using most of the same tool sets as any other ITS Team Member.

    • Are the only reason projects are accomplished. They do the work of design, build, test and support during and after rollout. Here are the basics of being a great team member!

    • Facilitate a successful project by staying on abreast of all the requests, activities, risks and issues. They are key in coordinating, working ahead and advocating both diverse stakeholders needs and support for team members who may need training or tools.  If you have not taken CMD鈥檚 Project Essentials on site class, please do so.
