Sometimes you might have additional questions about Passage 2 Success, but instead of calling our office, you rather search up the answers yourself. Below are some frequently asked questions that are often asked by our participants. Feel free to contact the Office of Diversity and Inclusion with any further questions you may have. When do I need to register for Passage 2 Success?
Registration for Passage 2 Success is $75. Payment for this program will be collected when you register. Registration will remain open until the end of the day on Friday, July 21.
When will I receive a full schedule of events?

A full schedule of events for Passage 2 Success will be available closer to the program.

When is move-in?

Move-in is from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, August 10. Please contact Housing and Residence Life at (316) 978-3693 for further questions.

Since we move in early, do I need to pay extra housing fees?

No, students participating in Passage 2 Success do not have to pay early move-in fees.

I do not live on campus, do I need to be there Saturday, August 12?

No, students living off campus will need to check in on the first day. Information will be sent out to those who register.

I do not live on campus, can I still attend Passage 2 Success

Even if you do not take advantage of living on campus, you can still register and attend Passage 2 Success. However, you will need to find transportation each day for the programs. All programs will generally begin at approximately 8 a.m. and will last throughout the day until 8 p.m.

I need to provide a special accommodations request for this program, how do I do that?
Special accommodations will be collected during the registration process. If your accommodations, including dietary, physical, and/or other special accommodations, change after your registration has been processed, please contact the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at caitlin.nolen@wichita.edu
I need to provide a special accommodations request for this program and for the university, how do I do that?
The Office of Student Accomodations and Testing provides students with learning, mental or physical disabilities an equal opportunity to attain their academic and personal goals to the fullest of their abilities. Go to OSAT's website to submit and request accommodations.
Will Shocker Hall be open for meals?

Passage 2 Success will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner to all participants either in Shocker Dining or provided by the program.

I have a strict dietary accommodation. How will this be accommodated?

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion does its best to provide a diverse perspective for students to experience cultural tastings during Passage 2 Success. We will do our best to accommodate for dietary restrictions based on availability; however, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet all requests. Students are more than welcome to head back to their rooms in the residence halls (if applicable) or Shocker Dining Hall and we will work with University Dining Services to meet these accommodations.

Who can come to the Welcome Luncheon?

A maximum of two (2) guests per student are allowed, only if they RSVP'd during the registration process.

Am I required to be there all day, every day?

Students are required to attend all scheduled activities until dimissed.

Are there any breaks?

Yes, breaks are built in for students each day.

Do I need to enroll in the class: Ready, Set, Lead?

No, students will be automatically enrolled into the course.

Do I need additional materials or books for this course?

No, students will be provided with a journal and pen to use during the lecture. However, student may be subject to incur additional fees associated with this college course and will be notified in advance.

Does Ready, Set, Lead occur during the academic year?

No, this course is offered as pre-session and will not interfere with your fall courses.

What is the dress code?

Casual attire and 成人头条 apparel is encouraged.

Who will be my mentor?

Students will be split into groups and assigned a peer mentor for Passage 2 Success and will have the option to be matriculated into Promoting Academic Student Success for the academic year.
