Thank you for your interest in volunteering for commencement! We greatly appreciate your help!

The Fall 2024 Commencement Ceremony will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024. 

There are two shifts: 11:30a-3:30p and 3:30-7:30p.

Participation is voluntary; you will be fed well and enjoy a great time with a fun group of people as you welcome guests and graduates to this memorable event. You should check with student organizations you are a member of or your department to see if there are even more benefits to your participation.

POSITION OVERVIEWS

You are the face of 成人头条 State! Greet people with a smile and assist them. 

SECTION ENTRANCES
Hand out guides and greet guests at your assigned entrance. Hand one guide to each interested adult. Monitor the seating areas to maintain security, answer questions, and assist guests. Maintain security and keep the seating areas and doorways clear. Alert a Leadership Team Member or Police if you see a situation you need assistance with.

HANDICAPPED SEATING (Sections 106-108-110 (West) and 120-122 (East))
Assist guests with difficulty climbing stairs or who are in wheelchairs to the reserved seating sections. Keep an eye on how many spots are open in your section. Notify leadership team member of any issue or if you run out of spots in your section. Only 1 person is allowed to sit with those in a wheelchair. Other guests may sit in the section below the companion seating in each section. 

DIRECTIONAL
Concourse Directional: Help direct guests - especially to wheelchair and limited mobility seating sections. You will monitor the concourse and help anybody with any questions they may have. Direct any faculty through the stanchions to the Champions Club for check-in.
Graduate Directional: Direct students from ticket office east through the stanchions and to the practice gym to lineup. No guests may enter this area. Direct any faculty through the stanchions to the Champions Club for check-in.

GYM/TUNNEL
Help graduates get into the correct lines as they arrive in the gym. Make sure grads stay in their lines as they process toward the large tunnel. Help direct graduates out the large tunnel as they recess. 

VIP SECTION (Section 118)
Monitor reserved seating section. Escort Faculty, Staff and VIP guests from Champions to reserved seating.
