NIAR completes ground vibration testing for Kansas Modification Center鈥檚 777-300ERCF conversion

March 14. 2022 鈥 Things are shaking in 成人头条 with the Kansas Modification Center鈥檚 777-300ERCF conversion program at 成人头条鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR). The team at NIAR WERX completed ground vibration testing last month.

Bhisham Sharma, an assistant professor in aerospace engineering, and Shuang Gu, an associate professor in the department of mechanical engineering, two recipients of John A. See Innovation Award.

The award is given each year as a way to recognize novel ideas that have the potential to meet a market need and attract further funding once they have advanced through the early prototyping phase.

March 10, 2022 鈥 成人头条 President Rick Muma has launched a new podcast, called 鈥淔orward Together,鈥 where the president speaks with guests from throughout Shocker Nation to highlight the people and priorities that guide WSU. The podcast drops monthly, with the March edition releasing March 9. Some of the guests so far include Hollywood director Dean Hargrove, WSU basketball coach Isaac Brown and WSU research vice president Coleen Pugh.

On March 9, 2022, the B-1 System Program Office (SPO), Tinker AFB, OK awarded a six-year, $100 million follow-on contract to 成人头条鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) to continue the B-1鈥檚 Digital Engineering (DE) transformation. The National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) helped form the strategic partnership and created a flexible contract structure, which allows NIAR and the B-1 SPO to adapt requirements real-time to meet critical warfighter needs.

Their friends and their warm memories are in turmoil as the Russian invasion wears on in their adopted country. They rely on social media to hear from former students, host families and friends, as they try to sort good information from bad and bring attention to the crisis.

March 4, 2022 - Nelsen Petersen, a 成人头条 State alum, is a high school teacher, author, filmmaker and running enthusiast who developed strong connections with Ukraine during his travels. Later this month, he plans to go to Cluj-Napoca, a Romanian city near Ukraine to help in refugee camps. He wants to spend four or five days during his spring break in the region.

March 1, 2022 鈥 成人头条 State鈥檚 Molecular Diagnostics Lab (MDL) is re-opening COVID test collections to the public starting today (March 1).

Jill Cobb, who graduated in 1977 with a general studies degree, became a forensic pathologist. Cobb has pulled some dark truths from some dark places around the world, including Bosnia in the aftermath of the former Yugoslavia鈥檚 civil war. She monitored and assisted in the exhumation and identification of war casualties as a member of Physicians for Human Rights.

Feb. 25, 2022 鈥 成人头条 State鈥檚 Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College is proud to announce nine recipients of the Koch Scholars Program for the fall 2022 semester. These eight recipients will each be awarded $30,000 over the next four years.

Feb. 24, 2022 鈥斅燭he W. Frank Barton School of Business at 成人头条 has chosen two recipients to receive the 2022 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship. This year鈥檚 winners are Cohen Ayres from Garden Plains and Grace Simon of 成人头条. They will each receive $32,700 over four years to attend WSU and major in entrepreneurship.
