The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) offers academic and social support for first-generation and underrepresented students, and provides dynamic programs, which range from speakers and film showings to award ceremonies, cultural festivities and LGBTQA programming 鈥 each representing a small piece of the diversity displayed on the WSU campus.

The Shocker Support Locker gives students, faculty and staff access to food, clothing, toiletries, and baby / family products. The Shocker Support Locker is coordinated and managed by the Student Government Association.

Housing and Residence Life

The Flats is an upperclassmen-only apartment complex located next to the Steve Clark YMCA and Student Wellness Center. Apartments are fully furnished and come with a full kitchen, washer & dryer, and a large common space with furniture. Floor plans are available for 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom layouts.

Campus Activities and Recreation

Home of Campus Activities and Recreation, the Heskett Center features a 200-meter indoor track; 25-meter swimming pool and dive well; basketball, racquetball and squash courts; climbing wall; tennis courts; fitness studios; cycle, circuit and cardio rooms; weight room and a new F45 Functional Training space for a full body interval training workout in 45 minutes.

Home to both Student Health Services and Counseling and Prevention Services, this facility also offers access to basketball and volleyball courts, cardio and weight equipment, fitness classes and drop-in daycare.

Resources for Military and Veteran Students

Military and Veterans Services

Grace Wilkie, Room 105
Military and Veterans Services provides information on education benefit programs, the application process for obtaining education benefits, and the certification process for using these benefits. This office certifies enrollment and changes in enrollment of eligible students to the VA Regional Office in St. Louis. The WSU VA Education Benefits Office acts as the liaison between students and the VA Regional Office.

Located inside Military and Veterans Services office, the student center provides support and assistance for active military, veterans and their dependents, including: computer access and free printing, help desk staffed by veterans, lounge and study area, social events and assistance with VA educational benefits.
